Albanian champions in years:
Track and Field, Basketball, Volleyball, Shooting, Weightlifting, etc.

Of these sports, Albania has always had a tradition of Shooting and Weightlifting, where athletes from these disciplines have managed to be declared European, World and Olympic champions (after `90-ties, Weightlifting, albeit under a different flag and nationality).

But, even though times and regimes have changed, the appreciation and ritual for these athletes who bring joy and pride to all Albanians, has remained almost the same, with diplomas and certificates of honor, accompanied at the end of the meeting with handshakes and smiling poses in newspapers and television screens.
